Tension between the US and Israel: Pentagon warns of espionage
Relations between the United States and Israel are becoming increasingly strained. The US Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, has expressed serious concerns regarding the activities of Israeli intelligence services within the US. This situation is unique because both countries have been considered very close allies for many years.
According to information provided by NBC News, the Pentagon has assessed the level of espionage threat from Israel as "critical." US officials suspect that Israeli services are trying to obtain confidential information. This primarily concerns decisions the Joe Biden administration is making regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Although both countries regularly exchange intelligence information, the current situation shows a lack of full trust. The Pentagon fears that Israel wants to learn secret US plans to better protect its own interests in the region. Such actions could negatively impact the national security of the United States and its diplomatic strategy.
For now, neither the Israeli government nor official US representatives have commented in detail on these reports. However, experts believe that this tension could hinder further military and political cooperation. The world is watching closely to see how these two nations will handle the crisis of trust at such a difficult moment for international stability.
