Poland presents Hornet drones: new technology in national defense
The Polish arms industry is developing modern technologies designed to increase the country's security. The Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), together with the WB Group, has presented a drone called Hornet. It is the Polish response to "Shahed"-type unmanned aerial vehicles, which are widely used in armed conflicts around the world.
The new project is being carried out by the company Polskie Drony, which was established last year. The goal of this initiative is to create effective and modern defense tools that can be produced domestically. The Hornet is intended to strengthen the Polish army's potential in terms of reconnaissance and precision targeting.
Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of National Defense, emphasized that the Polish army is entering a new phase of technological development. Investments in unmanned aerial vehicles are crucial, as the modern battlefield relies heavily on the use of drones. Thanks to local production, Poland is becoming independent of foreign equipment supplies.
The development of such systems is an important step for the Polish defense industry. Experts point out that possessing one's own advanced drones allows for a faster response in emergency situations. The Hornet project is proof that Polish engineers are capable of creating solutions that meet the latest military challenges.
