Poland to receive over 600 million euros in reimbursement for military aid to Ukraine
Poland will receive significant financial support from the European Union under the European Peace Facility. The European Commission has approved the disbursement of over 600 million euros, which serves as partial reimbursement for the costs of weaponry transferred to Ukraine by the Polish government since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
These funds are a form of compensation for military equipment, ammunition, and other defense materials that Poland has sent to the front. This decision is an expression of recognition for our country's role as one of Ukraine's key allies, which has supported the Ukrainian army in its fight for sovereignty since the first days of the conflict.
The transferred funds will go into the state budget and can be used to further strengthen Poland's defense potential. The government plans to allocate this money toward the modernization of the army and the purchase of modern equipment, which is of key importance for national security in the face of the current geopolitical situation in the region.
The process of reimbursement from the EU fund is long-term and requires a precise accounting of every unit of equipment transferred. Poland is one of the largest beneficiaries of this program, which confirms the scale of the aid our country has provided to its eastern neighbor over the last two years.
Receiving these funds is an important step for Polish defense policy. It will allow for the continuation of armament processes while maintaining the country's financial stability, which is important for all citizens concerned about the security of the state.
