Employee protest at TI Poland plants in the Podbeskidzie region
Trade unionists from NSZZ "Solidarność" have launched a protest action at TI Poland plants. These actions are aimed at drawing the employer's attention to the employees' wage demands. The union members are demanding pay raises, citing the current economic situation as their justification.
As part of the initiated protest, three factories belonging to the company in the Podbeskidzie region have been officially flagged. This is a visible sign of the staff's dissatisfaction and a warning signal to the company's management. Representatives of the trade union emphasize that these current actions are only the beginning of the planned steps.
Employees point out that the rising cost of living requires an appropriate response from the employer regarding earnings. Flagging the plants is intended to force the company to enter into concrete discussions about financial terms. The unionists are hoping for a constructive dialogue that will allow them to avoid escalating the forms of protest.
At this moment, the situation at the plants remains fluid. Representatives of "Solidarność" announce that if the wage demands are not met, they will consider further forms of pressure. TI Poland, which is an important employer in the region, has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
