Poland supports the creation of migrant centers outside the European Union
Poland has officially expressed its support for the proposal to create special centers for migrants outside the territory of the European Union. This solution is intended for individuals who do not have the right to legal residence in the community's member states. This initiative is currently being widely discussed at the EU level as a way to better control migration processes.
According to the project's assumptions, individuals whose asylum applications have been rejected would be sent to facilities located in third countries. The goal of this solution is to increase the effectiveness of return procedures and limit illegal migration to Europe. Member states are looking for new methods of managing the migration crisis, which has for years posed a challenge to the security and stability of borders.
Although the Polish government views the very idea of creating such centers positively, it simultaneously emphasizes that it has other priorities in migration policy. Poland pays particular attention to issues of border security and protection against the use of migration as a tool in hybrid warfare. For Warsaw, it is crucial that EU solutions take into account the specific geopolitical situation of our region.
Discussion on the future of EU asylum policy will continue during upcoming EU summits. Representatives of member states must work out a compromise that satisfies all parties and allows for the introduction of effective changes in the law. Poland announces that it will actively participate in these talks, while safeguarding its national interests.
