Violent storms over Poland: over 1,600 fire department interventions
Last Sunday, a wave of violent storms swept across Poland, causing serious disruptions in many regions of the country. Emergency services had to respond to over 1,600 reports related to dangerous weather phenomena.
The most frequent reason for fire department interventions was fallen trees, which blocked roads and hindered vehicular traffic. Strong winds also caused damage to the roofs of residential and farm buildings, which required immediate securing actions by firefighters.
The weather situation was dynamic, and firefighters worked for many hours to clear the aftermath of the storms and restore safety for residents. Authorities are appealing to citizens to monitor weather reports and exercise particular caution during strong winds and storms.
Currently, the assessment of the damage caused by the elements is underway. Services remain on standby to respond to any further potential threats should the weather deteriorate again.
