Poland strengthens security: a new constellation of military satellites in orbit
The Polish army has reached an important milestone in the development of its observation capabilities. A full constellation of MikroGlob satellites is now in orbit, significantly increasing the ability to monitor the country's territory and areas beyond its borders.
Currently, the Polish satellite system consists of four MikroGlob-type satellites and four advanced POLSARIS radar units. This combination of technologies allows for observation regardless of weather conditions or time of day, which is crucial for modern military intelligence.
However, this is not the end of investments in space technology. Three satellites from the PIAST series are already operating in orbit, supporting Polish defense operations. The military plans to further expand its capabilities, currently awaiting the delivery of two more satellites manufactured by Airbus.
The development of its own satellite infrastructure is a priority for Poland in the context of national security. Thanks to these modern tools, Polish services gain independent access to intelligence data, which allows for a faster response to potential threats.
