Rescue operation at Bytom mine: Rescuers search for missing miner
A dangerous incident occurred at the Eko-Plus mine in Bytom. A strong underground tremor caused one of the miners to be cut off from the rest of the team. Emergency services immediately took action to reach the affected man as quickly as possible.
Initially, the operation was very difficult due to high seismic risk. Rescuers had to wait for the situation underground to stabilize. The safety of the rescue teams is a priority, which is why they could not enter the damaged excavation area immediately after the accident.
Late in the evening, the situation improved. Representatives of the rescue headquarters reported that the danger level had decreased, allowing rescuers to operate more safely. A specialized team entered the area where the missing worker is likely located to begin a thorough search of the site.
