Get 400 euros if you have this phone!
Google has announced an official repair program for its "Pixel 7a" phone after discovering a serious battery issue that could lead to swelling. This defect could cause damage to the phone or even pose a risk to user safety.
To address the issue quickly, Google is offering free battery replacements or alternative compensation to affected users worldwide. This offer is intended for owners of the "Pixel 7a" whose devices have not suffered other damages such as screen cracks or water damage.
Although the issue is rare, Google encourages all "Pixel 7a" users to check the official Pixel support site to see if their device is eligible for a free repair.
Possible signs of malfunction include: Obvious swelling in the phone's body or bending of the back cover. Separation or cracking of the back cover at the edges. Unusual rapid battery drain or difficulty charging the phone.
In Austria, there is no free battery replacement program like in Germany or the United States. Instead, Google offers a cash compensation. If the device is still under warranty (two years from the date of purchase), users in Österreich (Austria) receive an amount of 456 US dollars, which is about 401 euros.
