Ominimo, Serbia's first "unicorn," expands into the Romanian market
Ominimo, a successful technology company from Serbia, has officially announced the first steps for its entry into the Romanian market. The startup, considered the neighboring country's first "unicorn," has decided to open a local branch to develop its operations in the region.
The company was founded in 2024 by Dušan Komar, Laslo Horvath, and Dennis Weinbender. The three founders have vast professional experience, being former consultants at the prestigious international firm McKinsey & Company.
The decision to open an office in Romania is part of a broader growth strategy for the company in Southeast Europe. Through this move, Ominimo aims to be closer to its local clients and to attract talent from the Romanian technology sector.
This expansion is a positive sign for the business ecosystem in Romania, demonstrating the country's attractiveness to foreign technology companies. In the coming period, the company is set to finalize the necessary administrative processes to begin full operations locally.
