Romania has exceeded the European Union average in terms of investments in 2025
Romania recorded a notable economic performance in 2025, managing to attract a significant volume of capital. According to data presented by a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania (BNR), our country's investment rate reached 25.6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
This figure places Romania above the average recorded at the European Union level for the same period. Investments represent an essential engine for economic development, contributing to the creation of new jobs, the modernization of infrastructure, and the increase of productivity in various sectors of activity.
BNR specialists emphasize that this high level of investment reflects an increased interest from companies in the local market, as well as an efficient use of available European funds. A solid investment rate is considered a positive indicator for a country's long-term economic stability.
Despite the global economic context marked by challenges, the results obtained by Romania demonstrate the resilience of the national economy. Authorities continue to monitor financial developments to ensure the maintenance of this upward trend and to further encourage the business environment.
In conclusion, exceeding the European average regarding the investment rate represents an important step for consolidating Romania's economic position. Maintaining this pace will be essential for supporting economic growth and for improving the standard of living for citizens in the years to come.
