Alert in Tulcea County: A drone was detected near the Romanian border
Residents in the northeastern part of Tulcea County received an RO-Alert message earlier today after authorities detected a drone near the border with Ukraine. The message was sent to warn the population about potential dangers and to recommend caution.
According to information provided by the Ministry of National Defense (MApN), the target was observed by radar surveillance systems at 10:36 AM. It was located approximately 20 kilometers east of the town of Vylkove, on Ukrainian territory, but very close to the border with Romania.
Surveillance teams monitored the object's trajectory to ensure there were no direct risks to national territory. Romanian authorities remain on alert and are constantly monitoring the situation in the border area, given the proximity of the conflict in the neighboring country.
This incident is part of a series of similar events that have occurred in recent months in the Danube Delta area. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that surveillance measures are being maintained at a high level to protect the integrity of Romania's airspace and the safety of citizens in border areas.
