College of Physicians: Patient access to treatment is a national priority
The Romanian College of Physicians recently issued an important message regarding the public health system. Representatives of the institution emphasize that patient access to modern and effective treatments must be the main priority for the authorities in our country.
Currently, many patients face difficulties in obtaining necessary medications or scheduling complex medical investigations. Doctors warn that delays in diagnosis and treatment can have serious consequences for the health of the population. Therefore, there is a need for better organization of the resources available in hospitals.
Another issue raised by specialists is the need to invest more in medical infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology. Modernizing healthcare units would allow doctors to provide higher quality care, aligned with European standards. In this way, patients would no longer feel compelled to seek medical solutions outside the country.
Representatives of the College of Physicians propose a constant dialogue between state authorities, doctors, and patient organizations. This collaboration is considered essential to identify quick solutions to current problems and to improve the efficiency of medical practice in Romania.
In conclusion, improving the healthcare system remains a major challenge for Romania. Prioritizing access to treatment is a necessary step to ensure the well-being of citizens and to build a more equitable and high-performing medical system for all Romanians.
