Over 100 startups want to test their military technologies in Romania
Romania is becoming a central hub for defense innovation, as over 100 startups from across Europe have signed up to test their military technologies in our country. The high level of interest has led to fierce competition, with more than five candidates for every available spot in the BraveTechEU program.
This program offers young technology companies the chance to collaborate with defense industry experts and validate their solutions in real-world conditions. The submitted projects cover diverse fields, ranging from surveillance and cybersecurity systems to advanced technologies for military communications and logistics.
The growing interest from entrepreneurs underscores Romania's strategic importance in the current European security context. The participation of such a large number of startups demonstrates that our country is considered a favorable environment for developing and testing technologies that can contribute to the modernization of defense capabilities.
In the coming period, the jury will select the most promising ideas that will proceed to the testing stage. The success of this event could attract new investments into the Romanian technology sector and could strengthen partnerships between the private sector and state institutions responsible for national security.
