Education for the future: STEAM summer schools organized for children in Bacău County
The Bacău Community Foundation has recently completed a series of educational projects dedicated to young people in rural areas. These involved three summer schools based on the STEAM concept, which offered free courses to students in the localities of Căiuți, Mărăști, and Traian.
The STEAM program focuses on the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The goal of these courses was to provide children with the opportunity to learn complex concepts through practical and interactive activities, in an engaging and relaxed manner suitable for the summer vacation.
Participation in these summer schools was free of charge, thereby facilitating access to modern education for children in local communities. The organizers aimed to stimulate the students' curiosity and encourage them to discover new passions in technical and creative fields, which are highly sought after in today's labor market.
Initiatives of this type are essential for the development of digital and analytical skills among young people in Romania. Through such projects, the Bacău Community Foundation actively contributes to reducing the educational gaps between urban and rural environments.
The success of these summer schools demonstrates the growing interest of children in technology and innovation. The project concludes with positive results, offering participants valuable experiences that will assist them in their future academic journey.
