Extreme heatwave in Romania: Real-feel temperatures reached 42 degrees in the shade
Romania is currently facing an intense heatwave, which has brought extreme temperatures to several regions of the country. Meteorologists have warned that thermal values have exceeded the usual thresholds for this period, affecting the thermal comfort of the population.
In some cities, the situation has become critical, with real-feel temperatures at 3:00 PM reaching the 42 degrees Celsius mark in the shade. These high values put pressure on urban infrastructure and pose a risk to the health of vulnerable people, especially those who spend a lot of time outdoors.
The weather forecast indicates that maximum temperatures will vary between 26 and 30 degrees on the coast, while in the Western Plain, values will climb up to 39-40 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, specialists warn that the nights will be tropical, which means that temperatures will not drop enough to allow homes to cool down.
Authorities recommend that the population avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during critical hours, consume enough fluids, and wear clothing made of natural materials. It is essential that citizens pay attention to the weather alerts issued by the National Administration of Meteorology in order to protect themselves from the effects of the heatwave.
