Romania's public healthcare system remains the top choice for the majority of doctors
A recent study conducted among medical staff in Romania shows a shift in perception regarding job attractiveness. More than half of healthcare professionals state that they would choose to practice in the public system, considering it a more stable and advantageous option in the long term.
According to the collected data, 45% of the doctors and nurses interviewed believe that the income offered in state hospitals is more attractive than that in the private sector. This figure is significantly higher compared to those who prefer the private environment, with only 24% of respondents being of the opinion that salaries and benefits in private clinics are superior.
This trend highlights the importance of recent investments in public medical infrastructure and the salary packages offered to medical personnel. Although the private sector has grown steadily in recent years, the stability and volume of complex cases in state hospitals continue to attract a large part of the qualified workforce.
In conclusion, the results of the study indicate that the public healthcare system manages to remain competitive in the labor market. Authorities and hospital managers will need to continue their efforts to maintain this interest, ensuring optimal working conditions so that specialists remain in the country and provide quality services to Romanian patients.
