Digitalizing the medical system: Patients in Romania have online access to medical documents
Starting September 1st, the Romanian healthcare system is taking an important step toward digitalization. The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has launched the "My E-Health" platform, a tool created to simplify the relationship between patients and the public medical system.
Through this new online platform, insured persons can access their medical documents much more easily. Specifically, patients can view the electronic prescriptions issued by doctors, referral slips to specialists, and their personal medical history directly in their accounts.
This change aims to reduce bureaucracy and provide citizens with better control over their own health. Instead of keeping paper documents, patients can now check the necessary information whenever they need it, using a device connected to the internet.
To access the platform, users must authenticate themselves in the secure CNAS system. Authorities hope that this initiative will save time for both patients and doctors, facilitating more efficient communication within the Romanian healthcare system.
