Television remains the primary source of information and entertainment for Romanians
Even though digital technology is developing rapidly, television continues to occupy a central place in the daily lives of Romanians. According to recent data from the media industry, a large part of the population still chooses the television to find out news and to relax.
Florin Alexandrescu, a representative of the PRO TV station, explains that the Romanian audience prefers a wide range of programs. The most popular categories remain entertainment shows, sports broadcasts, movies, and reality shows. These preferences show that viewers seek both information and relaxation through the small screen.
From an economic perspective, the TV advertising market in Romania is going through a period of stability. Although it is estimated that the growth rate will be slower until 2026, specialists do not foresee a decrease in revenue. Companies continue to invest significant amounts in TV commercials, considering this medium very effective for reaching the general public.
In conclusion, television remains an essential pillar of communication in Romania. The outlook for the end of this year is optimistic, confirming that Romanians maintain a close connection with traditional TV programs, despite the increasing competition from the online environment.
