Disney+ restores 4K support for users in Romania
The streaming platform Disney+ has begun to reintroduce the 4K UHD playback feature for subscribers in Romania. This decision comes after users recently noticed the sudden removal of this high-resolution option from the Premium subscription plan.
The change was welcomed by Romanian cinephiles, who had complained about the drop in image quality on compatible televisions. Restoring 4K resolution once again allows for viewing Disney, Marvel, or Star Wars productions with superior clarity, offering an experience closer to that of a cinema.
However, representatives of the platform stated that, although the 4K format is returning, HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology remains unavailable to users in our country. This feature is essential for rendering vivid colors and detailed contrast, being an important element for owners of modern screens.
Disney+ did not provide detailed explanations regarding the reasons that led to the temporary removal of these technical features. Users are advised to check the application settings on their devices to ensure they can access the new playback option available in their Premium accounts.
