Siegfried Mureșan has submitted the government program to Parliament
Siegfried Mureșan, the prime minister-designate for forming the new executive, has taken an important step in the process of installing the government. This morning, he officially submitted the government program and the list of ministers to the Senate of Romania and the Chamber of Deputies.
The action was carried out in accordance with Article 103 of the Constitution of Romania, which regulates the procedure for the investiture of a new cabinet. The submitted documents represent the foundation upon which governmental activity will be built in the coming period, reflecting the political and economic priorities of the proposed team.
It is now up to Parliament to analyze the received documentation and establish a calendar for the hearings of the ministers in the specialized committees. This is an essential moment for the country's political stability, as the vote of confidence from parliamentarians is mandatory for the new government to be able to begin its work.
After the completion of the hearings, a joint session of the two chambers of Parliament will be organized, where the government program and the cabinet list will be voted on. In the event that it receives the majority vote, the new government will take the oath of office before the President of Romania and will officially assume its mandate.
