Major investment in healthcare: New centers for severe burn patients in Timișoara and Târgu Mureș
The Romanian medical system will benefit from a significant investment to improve the treatment of patients with severe burns. The government has announced the allocation of 185 million euros for the construction and equipping of two specialized centers in the cities of Timișoara and Târgu Mureș.
This project aims primarily to increase Romania's capacity to provide complex medical care. Currently, our country faces a shortage of specialized places for patients suffering from severe burns, which makes this initiative essential for the safety of citizens.
The new centers will be equipped with modern technology and will comply with European standards in the field. In addition to treating burns, the units will also be able to handle other difficult medical cases, thus offering a better chance of recovery for patients who need surgical interventions and long-term care.
Authorities stated that the funding is part of a broader plan to modernize hospital infrastructure in Romania. The implementation of these centers is considered a priority to reduce the number of patient transfers abroad and to ensure quality treatments directly within the country.
The completion of these investments will represent a step forward for the public health system. It is estimated that the new facilities will serve thousands of patients each year, providing access to modern medical conditions and specialized staff.
