Sorin Grindeanu: PSD is close to forming a parliamentary majority
Sorin Grindeanu, First Vice President of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), recently stated that his political party is at an advanced stage in negotiations to form a parliamentary majority. According to the official, the discussions are based on close collaboration with other political parties, with the aim of ensuring government stability in the coming period.
In his statements, Grindeanu emphasized the importance of transparency in this political process. He specified that the PSD will publicly present the structure and composition of the future majority as soon as all necessary conditions are met and provided that the nomination for the position of prime minister is made in a transparent and fair manner.
This move comes in a political context marked by intense negotiations following the recent elections. PSD leaders maintain that their priority is to create a solid parliamentary bloc capable of supporting the economic and social measures proposed in the party's governing program for the coming years.
Although discussions are ongoing, political analysts are closely following the evolution of these negotiations, given the impact that a new majority will have on legislative decisions in Romania. It remains to be seen in the immediate future whether the PSD will succeed in finalizing these agreements and who the social democrats' coalition partners will be.
