“E-SănătateaMea”: A new digital platform for patients in Romania
Starting today, patients in Romania have access to a new digital platform called “E-SănătateaMea” (My E-Health). This initiative, launched by the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), aims to modernize the way citizens interact with the state medical system.
The platform is described by the authorities as a “digital health wallet.” The main purpose of this tool is to simplify the relationship between patients, doctors, and medical institutions by providing faster and easier access to information regarding one’s own health status.
Through this online portal, users can view various medical documents and important data stored in the national computer system. This digitalization is expected to reduce bureaucracy and eliminate the need to carry numerous physical documents to every doctor's visit.
To access the platform, patients must follow the authentication steps established by CNAS. Authorities hope that this system will improve the efficiency of medical services and provide patients with better control over their medical history.
The implementation of “E-SănătateaMea” represents an important step in the digitalization process of Romania's administration. It remains to be seen how this change will be received by doctors and patients in the coming period.
