Romania has completed its 12th medical evacuation mission from the Gaza Strip
The Romanian authorities carried out another important humanitarian mission on Monday, successfully evacuating five children suffering from various medical conditions from the Gaza Strip. This operation was successfully completed using a military aircraft belonging to the Romanian Air Force, specially equipped for patient transport.
Along with the five children, members of their families were also evacuated as part of the same mission. This action is part of an ongoing effort by the Romanian state to provide support to citizens and individuals in vulnerable situations in conflict zones, in compliance with international humanitarian assistance commitments.
This is the 12th mission of this type organized by Romania since the beginning of the escalation of tensions in the region. The medical evacuation operations are coordinated by the Ministry of National Defense, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department for Emergency Situations, to ensure the safety and necessary care of the patients.
After landing on Romanian territory, the children and their families were taken over by specialized medical teams to receive the necessary care in medical facilities across the country. The Romanian authorities have stated that they will continue to monitor the situation in the area and intervene whenever necessary to save lives.
