"Welcome Card": A New Method to Attract Tourists to Romania's Tourist Areas

The 10% discount applies specifically to local restaurants and various recreational activities. Thus, visitors can save money when dining out or participating in cultural and sporting activities. This measure is intended to support local businesses and make the destination more attractive to families and young people.
Authorities and guesthouse owners hope that this project will change tourist behavior. Currently, many visitors prefer to stay only for a weekend, but the new card motivates them to extend their stay. Through this system, the goal is to achieve more stable economic development for the region throughout the week.
