The Chronic Patients Alliance calls for urgent funding of the Romanian healthcare system
The Chronic Patients Alliance of Romania has launched an urgent appeal to the authorities, demanding the release of necessary funds for the medical system. Representatives of the organization warn that the lack of financial resources is endangering the lives of thousands of patients who depend on constant treatment to survive.
The message conveyed by the association is harsh and direct: "Stop signing the death certificates of patients in Romania." This statement underscores the patients' frustration with the bureaucratic and financial difficulties that block access to essential medicines and the therapies they need on a regular basis.
According to patient representatives, there is a major risk that many treatments will be interrupted in the coming period if the health budget is not supplemented. This situation could lead to the worsening of the health status of people suffering from chronic diseases, placing additional pressure on hospitals across the country.
Currently, patients and relevant associations are awaiting an official reaction from the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance House. Concrete measures are being requested to ensure the continuity of medical care and to prevent a health crisis that could affect a significant number of Romanian citizens.
