Major cyberattack on ANCPI platform: Real estate advertising services are blocked

2026-07-17

The National Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising (ANCPI) in Romania is currently facing the most serious technical crisis in its history. The institution has officially confirmed that it was the victim of a large-scale cyberattack, which led to the complete blocking of its essential digital platforms.

This incident directly affects the operations of notaries, real estate agencies, and citizens who needed cadastral or land registration documents. Due to the attack, computer systems were shut down to prevent the loss or theft of sensitive data, which has paralyzed the workflow in the real estate sector nationwide.

Cybersecurity experts are currently working to assess the damage and restore the platform's functionality. Authorities have announced that their priority is securing the database and eliminating the cyber threats that allowed this attack on the state's critical infrastructure.

For now, there is no clear timeline for the resumption of ANCPI's online activity. Representatives of the institution recommend that users follow the official pages for updates and wait for the technical issues to be resolved before attempting to access the agency's digital services.
