Minister of Labor: Budget for Education and Health reaches maximum sustainable limit
Dragoș Pîslaru, the interim Minister of Labor, recently made important statements regarding the new salary law in Romania. He emphasized that the budget allocated for the Education and Health sectors has been set at nearly 6 billion lei, an amount that the Romanian state considers the maximum limit it can currently afford.
The minister explained that this decision is essential to maintain the country's economic balance. According to the official, the adoption of a well-structured salary law is necessary to avoid taking populist measures that could destabilize public finances in the long term.
In the current context, authorities are trying to find a balance between the desire to increase the income of public sector employees and the real possibilities of the state budget. Pîslaru warned that any exceeding of these financial limits could have negative consequences for the national economy.
Discussions about public sector salaries remain a subject of major interest for Romanian citizens, given the direct impact on the quality of public services. The government continues to analyze the impact of these measures to ensure that financial resources are distributed responsibly and efficiently.
