A tech startup from Cluj-Napoca has achieved a remarkable performance by winning the national Tech Catalyst competition. Thanks to this success, the Cluj-based team will represent Romania at a prestigious international technology event taking place in Barcelona.

The innovation that caught the jury's attention is an artificial intelligence-based system created specifically for people with visual impairments. This technology aims to facilitate access to visual information for the blind and provide them with greater independence in their daily lives.

The Tech Catalyst competition brought together numerous innovative projects from across the country, but the solution developed in Cluj stood out for its positive social impact and the efficiency of the algorithms used. The jury appreciated the way artificial intelligence can be used to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Participation in the Barcelona event represents a major opportunity for the Romanian startup. They will have the chance to present their invention to investors and experts from the global technology industry, thus paving the way for potential international partnerships.

This achievement once again confirms the high potential of the IT sector in Romania and the ability of young entrepreneurs to create technological solutions with added value for society.
