Extreme heatwave in Romania: Temperatures to reach 39 degrees Celsius
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a warning regarding a heatwave that will affect Romania starting July 30. The meteorological phenomenon will gradually spread from the western regions to the rest of the country, bringing scorching temperatures for a prolonged period.
In the western part of Romania, the weather will be particularly hot, with maximum temperatures remaining at an average of 38 – 39 degrees Celsius. These high values are forecast to persist until around August 6, affecting the thermal comfort of the population in these areas.
Authorities advise citizens to be extremely careful during this period. It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, to consume sufficient fluids, and to wear clothing made of natural materials in light colors.
Meteorologists are constantly monitoring the evolution of the weather and will update forecasts based on atmospheric changes. The population is advised to follow the official reports issued by the ANM to stay informed about any potential yellow or orange heatwave warnings.
