Major technical issues: Facebook platform unavailable for users in Romania
On Sunday morning, Facebook social media users in Romania faced significant technical difficulties. The platform became inaccessible to thousands of people starting at 10:40 AM, primarily affecting the browser version of the site.
The problems were not limited to our country's territory. Reports indicate that the malfunctions occurred simultaneously in several countries, suggesting a global technical error in the infrastructure owned by Meta. Users reported being unable to log in or load their news feeds.
The platform's technical teams intervened to resolve the situation, but the incident lasted for some time, causing dissatisfaction among those who use the network for communication or information. For now, company representatives have not provided detailed technical information regarding the exact cause of this outage.
Such incidents highlight the growing dependence of users on digital platforms for daily activities. Currently, Facebook services have returned to a normal state of operation, and access for users in Romania has been fully restored.
