Technical issues at Facebook: The social network was unavailable to users in Romania
During the morning of July 19, 2026, the social media platform Facebook encountered major technical difficulties, affecting a significant number of users in Romania. Issues began to be reported around 10:40 AM, at which point access to personal accounts became restricted.
Users who tried to access the network were met with error messages, the most common being "Account temporarily unavailable." This situation created difficulties for people who use the platform for professional purposes or for quick communication with friends and family.
Although the incident was felt locally, such technical issues occur periodically with large-scale platforms due to server errors or system updates. For the time being, company representatives have not provided official details regarding the exact cause of this outage.
The situation gradually returned to normal throughout the day as technical teams worked to fix the errors. Users are advised to check their internet connection and try refreshing the page in case they still encounter isolated difficulties loading content.
