Romania launches the RO AI Factory project for artificial intelligence development
Romania is taking an important step in the field of technology with the launch of the "RO AI Factory" project. This strategic initiative aims to stimulate the development of artificial intelligence at a national level, providing the necessary resources for research and innovation in this rapidly expanding digital sector.
The project will be hosted by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest). The institution was chosen to host the high-performance computing infrastructure, which is essential for processing large volumes of data and for training complex artificial intelligence models.
In addition to the technical infrastructure, ICI Bucharest will provide the operational support necessary for the project's smooth functioning. This collaboration will allow researchers, students, and companies in Romania to access advanced technologies that, until now, were difficult to obtain within the country.
The implementation of "RO AI Factory" represents a major opportunity for Romania's digital economy. By creating this computing center, our country aims to become a regional benchmark for artificial intelligence-based projects, thereby supporting the modernization of public services and the business environment.
In conclusion, this project marks the beginning of a new stage for Romanian technology. Investing in digital infrastructure is a necessary step to align Romania with European standards and to prepare local specialists for the challenges of the future.
