Tensions regarding PNRR reforms: Romania under pressure from Brussels
Romania is at the center of an important debate regarding the European funds allocated through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Minister Dragoș Pîslaru recently criticized the attitude of certain political parties, accusing them of refusing to adopt the changes necessary to receive European funding. He emphasized that Romania cannot request massive financial support from the European Union while blocking the essential reforms it committed to carrying out.
