Covasna resort to benefit from a new modern spa center by 2026
The Covasna resort, known for its mineral waters and healing benefits, is set to undergo a major change. Local authorities have announced the construction of a new multifunctional spa center, intended to attract more tourists to this mountain area.
The project is part of a broader strategy to modernize tourism infrastructure in Romania. The new complex will offer modern facilities for treatment and relaxation, designed to meet the needs of visitors seeking health and wellness services at European standards.
According to official plans, construction work is already underway. Although there were initial discussions about completing it in the near future, the official deadline for the center's opening is 2026. Authorities estimate that the investment will contribute significantly to the economic development of the region.
Once completed, the center will provide tourists with mineral water pools, spa areas, and specialized treatment rooms. This initiative is seen as an essential step for the revitalization of spa tourism, a sector with huge potential in Romania, but one that requires constant investment in modernization.
