Wizz Air changes its strategy in Romania after two decades of activity
Low-cost airline Wizz Air, one of the most important operators on the Romanian market, has announced a change in its business strategy. This decision comes after 20 years of continuous presence in our country, a period during which the company has become an essential player in local air transport.
Currently, Wizz Air holds a vast network in Romania, operating no fewer than 232 routes connecting to 26 different countries. This complex infrastructure is supported by nine operational bases established in various cities, as well as services offered at five additional airports in the country.
Although the company has not yet provided specific details about the new strategic directions, the change marks an important moment for Romanian passengers. The current network has allowed many travelers to access international destinations at affordable prices, consolidating the company's position at the top of preferences for low-cost flights.
The evolution of Wizz Air's strategy will be followed with interest by aviation authorities and travelers alike. It remains to be seen how these changes will be reflected in the flight schedule, the number of available routes, and the fares charged on the Romanian market in the coming period.
