Major health investment: The County Hospital in Bistrița has been completely modernized
The Bistrița County Emergency Hospital has undergone an extensive modernization and expansion process, representing one of the most significant investments in medical infrastructure in the region. The project had a total value of 668 million lei and aimed at both improving the old building and constructing a new, modern pavilion for patients.
This investment brings significant changes to medical practice. Doctors in Bistrița now have at their disposal four new operating rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. These facilities allow for complex surgical interventions to be performed under increased safety conditions, thus reducing the need for patients to travel to other cities for specialized treatments.
In addition to the new operating rooms, the hospital's expansion has allowed for the introduction of new medical specialties. This measure aims to increase the diagnostic and treatment capacity of the healthcare unit, offering residents of the county access to more varied and faster medical services. The modernization of the old building also included improving comfort in patient wards and streamlining medical workflows.
The completion of this project represents an important step for the public health system in Romania. Local authorities emphasize that such investments are essential to provide patients with treatment conditions at European standards and to support the work of medical staff in county hospitals.
