Heatwave in Romania: Temperatures to reach 37 degrees Celsius
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued an official warning regarding a heatwave that will cover most regions of Romania in the coming period. Meteorologists announce that temperatures will rise significantly, bringing high thermal discomfort to the population.
According to the forecast, thermal values will reach heatwave thresholds, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius. In addition to the high daytime temperatures, residents will also face "tropical nights," periods during which the temperature will not drop below 20 degrees Celsius, which will make resting at night difficult.
Beyond the extreme heat, specialists warn that atmospheric instability will be present in several areas. Phenomena such as violent storms, lightning, and squalls are expected to hit various regions, often appearing after periods of intense heat.
Authorities recommend that citizens avoid prolonged sun exposure between 11:00 and 18:00 and stay properly hydrated. It is also advised that vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and children, remain in cool spaces and consult a doctor if they feel unwell due to the extreme temperatures.
