Investigation at Târgșor Penitentiary following the death of an inmate
Authorities in Prahova County have opened an official investigation following the death of a woman incarcerated at Târgșor Penitentiary. The incident was reported recently, and representatives of the institution announced that all legal procedures were immediately initiated to establish the exact circumstances under which the tragedy occurred.
In accordance with standard procedures in such cases, the penitentiary's medical staff intervened to provide first aid, but unfortunately, the inmate's life could not be saved. Doctors from the ambulance service were also called to the scene and pronounced the individual dead.
The management of Târgșor Penitentiary is cooperating with the investigative bodies and has made all necessary documents and records available to clarify the situation. The National Administration of Penitentiaries has also been informed and will monitor the progress of the investigation to ensure that all regulations were followed.
