Romania still has 22 billion euros to access from European cohesion funds
Romania is at an important stage for the development of its infrastructure and national economy, still having a significant amount of money available from the European Union. According to official data, our country has yet to request approximately 22 billion euros from the European Commission, a sum that represents over 70% of the total allocation intended for cohesion policy.
Cohesion funds are financial resources provided by the European Union to reduce development disparities between regions and to improve the quality of life for citizens. This money is essential for major projects, such as the construction of highways, the modernization of transport networks, and investments in education and environmental protection.
To benefit from these funds, Romanian authorities must prepare well-structured projects and comply with the deadlines imposed by Brussels. Accessing these sums is a complex process that requires close collaboration between state institutions and European partners, ensuring that investments are carried out efficiently and transparently.
Success in attracting these 22 billion euros could bring visible changes to Romania's economy in the coming years. The completion of projects financed through these funds will contribute to increasing the country's competitiveness and creating new jobs, while also providing development opportunities for local communities in all regions of the country.
