Ministry of Education explains new high school admission rules for 2027
Interim Minister of Education, Mihai Dimian, provided important clarifications regarding the high school admission exam, a subject that has sparked numerous discussions in the public sphere. He emphasized that the recent changes are not new decisions, but represent the application of legal provisions already established in 2023.
According to official statements, the new admission methodology will come into effect starting in 2027. The Ministry of Education stated that it has a legal obligation to implement the current legislation, thereby ensuring the continuity of the educational process in accordance with previously established plans.
This measure aims to modernize the evaluation system for students finishing the eighth grade. Authorities maintain that the implementation of these changes is necessary to align the admission process with new educational standards and to provide greater clarity to students and parents.
In the coming period, the Ministry of Education will continue to provide further details on how the exam will be conducted. Students and teachers are encouraged to follow official announcements in order to properly prepare for the new requirements that will become mandatory in a few years.
