State University of Management Hosts "Project Thinking School": How Students Learn to Build Businesses
The State University of Management (SUM) has concluded its "Project Thinking School," titled "Grani" (Facets). This event was aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills among young people and preparing students for the real challenges of the modern labor market.
A key feature of education at SUM is that all students, starting from their first year, work on real-world tasks provided by partner companies. This approach allows students not only to study theory but also to gain the practical experience necessary for a successful career.
As part of the program, participants attended lectures by successful Russian entrepreneurs and winners of the "Leaders of Russia" competition. Students analyzed complex business cases and learned how to turn their ideas into viable startups capable of attracting millions of rubles in investment.
The organizers emphasize that project thinking is a key skill for any professional today. The ability to identify a problem, find unconventional solutions, and drive a project to completion helps young people adapt more quickly to the professional environment.
Such educational initiatives are becoming an important part of workforce development in Russia. Thanks to the university's connection with the business world, SUM graduates enter the workforce with a ready-made portfolio and an understanding of how modern companies operate.
