Russia to Launch Serial Production of New Radio Modules for Communications
In the autumn of 2026, Russia will launch the serial production of domestic radio modules operating in the 2100 and 2600 MHz bands. This is an important event for the development of the country's telecommunications infrastructure. The new equipment will allow Russian telecom operators to expand network capabilities and improve data transmission quality.
The development and production of their own radio modules are part of a high-tech import substitution program. Previously, Russian companies were forced to purchase such equipment from foreign manufacturers. Now, the creation of an in-house production base will help make the communications industry more independent and secure.
Radio modules in the 2100 and 2600 MHz bands are actively used for 3G and 4G (LTE) mobile networks. They provide a stable signal and high internet speeds, which is especially important for large cities and densely populated areas where network load is constantly increasing.
Experts note that the transition to domestic components requires serious preparation. Engineers are already conducting the necessary tests to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the new devices. It is expected that after the launch of serial production, Russian equipment will gradually begin to be integrated into the infrastructure of mobile operators across the country.
Thus, the launch of radio module production will be an important step for Russia's technological sovereignty. This will not only ensure the uninterrupted operation of mobile communications but also create a foundation for the further development of digital technologies in the coming years.
