Russian companies to receive support for transitioning to domestic software
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched an initiative to support businesses in the process of transitioning to domestic production management systems. The proposal involves compensating companies for the costs incurred when replacing foreign automated process control systems (APCS) with Russian counterparts.
This step is part of a large-scale strategy for import substitution in the industrial sector. The use of foreign software in critical sectors of the economy creates certain security risks, which is why the government is seeking to accelerate the transition to its own developments.
Particular attention is being paid to the fuel and energy complex. According to preliminary expert estimates, the complete replacement of foreign control systems in this sphere will require significant investment. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately one trillion rubles.
Implementing Russian systems will allow enterprises not only to increase their technological independence but also to ensure the stable operation of production facilities in the long term. It is expected that state support will help businesses reduce the financial burden of upgrading equipment and software.
In the near future, the relevant departments are to develop a detailed plan for the implementation of this program. It is expected that the new support measures will become an important stimulus for the development of the domestic IT sector and the strengthening of the country's industrial potential.
