Russian fishing fleet to be replenished with new high-tech vessels
A large-scale renewal of the fishing fleet is underway in Russia. At present, more than 60 modern vessels designed for catching fish and processing seafood are under construction at domestic shipyards. This project is aimed at developing the Russian fishing industry and increasing the efficiency of the sector.
New vessels are being built using advanced technologies. They are equipped with modern machinery that allows for not only catching fish but also processing it directly on board. This significantly reduces the time it takes for products to reach the consumer and helps maintain their freshness and high quality.
The vessel construction program is being implemented as part of the state policy to support domestic shipbuilding. Shipyards in various regions of the country have received orders, which creates new jobs and stimulates the development of engineering expertise. Many of these ships are built according to individual designs that take into account the specifics of operating in different climatic conditions, including the northern seas.
It is expected that the commissioning of the new vessels will allow Russian companies to increase catch volumes and strengthen their positions in both domestic and international markets. The fleet renewal is an important step toward ensuring the country's food security and developing the economies of coastal regions.
