Kremlin confirms Russia's readiness for dialogue on Ukraine
Press Secretary to the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented on Moscow's current position regarding the possibility of peace negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict. In his statement, he emphasized that the Russian side remains open to a diplomatic solution, but the Kremlin's priority remains the achievement of all the set goals of the special military operation.
According to Peskov, Russia has never abandoned the idea of negotiations, but the process must take into account the "new realities" and the demands that were voiced by the country's leadership earlier. The official Kremlin representative noted that at the moment, there are no significant changes in the position of Western countries or Kyiv that could contribute to the start of a constructive dialogue.
In recent months, the topic of possible negotiations has been regularly discussed on the international stage. Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that any discussions must be based on the recognition of territorial changes and the consideration of Russia's security interests. In turn, Ukraine's Western partners continue to provide military support to Kyiv, which, according to Moscow, only prolongs the conflict.
Analysts note that the issue of a diplomatic settlement remains one of the most complex on the international agenda. Under current conditions, experts do not expect a speedy resumption of full-scale negotiations, as the parties hold diametrically opposed views on the terms of peace and the future of the region.
Thus, Russia's official position remains unchanged: readiness for dialogue is maintained, but only on the condition that all of Moscow's key demands are met. The further development of the situation will depend on the willingness of all parties to the conflict to seek compromise solutions.
