State Duma proposes increasing salaries for medical workers
The leader of the A Just Russia — For Truth party, Sergey Mironov, has put forward a new initiative to support doctors. The politician proposed a significant increase in the salaries of medical workers employed in state healthcare institutions.
According to the deputy's proposal, the remuneration for medical professionals should be at least 200% of the average salary in a specific region. In the author's opinion, this would help increase the prestige of the profession and retain qualified personnel in state hospitals and clinics.
Currently, the income levels of doctors vary greatly depending on the constituent entity of the Russian Federation. Introducing a unified standard tied to the average regional income should make the compensation system more fair and transparent for all specialists.
At the moment, the initiative is in the discussion stage. Experts note that implementing such a plan would require significant changes to budget planning and additional funding from the state.
The issue of raising salaries for public sector employees remains one of the most discussed topics in Russian society. It is expected that State Duma deputies will examine this proposal in more detail in the near future to assess its economic feasibility.
