Russian developers create an alternative to foreign microchip analysis equipment
Positive Technologies has unveiled Russia's first laser system designed for microelectronics security research. Previously, such devices were supplied to the country from abroad, but due to technology import restrictions, Russian enterprises faced a shortage of them.
The new equipment allows specialists to study the structure of chips and identify potential vulnerabilities within them. This is a critically important process for ensuring information security, as it helps protect electronic devices from external interference and cyberattacks.
The development of this proprietary system was a response to the need for import substitution in the high-tech sector. Until now, Russian companies were forced to find ways to maintain old equipment or use limited resources, which slowed down work on new projects.
The creation of such equipment is an important step for the development of domestic microelectronics. In the future, this will allow Russian developers to independently conduct complex quality and security checks of components without depending on supplies from other countries.
