India does not plan to increase supply of goods to Russia
Since 2022, the Russian government has been in negotiations with India to expand trade cooperation. Moscow is interested in having Indian companies significantly increase the export of food, medicines, as well as various equipment and machinery to the Russian market.
However, despite active diplomatic efforts, India has decided not to increase the volume of goods supplied to Russia. Official representatives of the Indian side have not yet provided detailed comments on the reasons for this choice, but experts note that the country is maintaining a cautious stance on international trade issues.
For Russia, India remains one of its key trading partners. In recent years, Moscow has sought to strengthen economic ties with Delhi to compensate for the reduction in imports from Western countries. The refusal to expand supplies could affect the plans of Russian businesses to find new sources of equipment and essential goods.
At the moment, the situation remains stable, and current trade relations between the countries are continuing as before. Analysts will be monitoring how this decision affects the Russian market in the long term and what steps the government will take to find new alternative suppliers.
